If the proxy-server requires authentication (try with and without), set the other checkbox 'Authentication required' as well. Set the checkbox at 'Use a proxy server' and enter the address and port. LaTeX distributions come as MiKTeX (Windows), TeX Live (cross-platform) and MacTeX flavours for different operating systems, where MacTeX is an Mac-oriented complete TeX Live together with an TeX editor and some extra-tools. It keep on throughing one or another error like this - Could not start the command. Miktex Package Manager -> Repository -> Connection Settings. Somehow texmaker is not able to detect the presence of miktex. References Kim, Jin-Soo, Huen Lee, and Sun Il Yu (1999). Ask your local IT-experts for the proxys IP-address and port and then goto. I would really appreciate if one of you could provide me some direct guidance. It works using bibtex (and deleting backend=biber). The minimum working example I'm attempting is posted below. TeXmaker needs a LaTeX engine (so to say) in the background to compile latex files. To execute as the current user, you would pass option -e MIKTEXUID (id -u) to the Docker run command. It is possible to change the uid by setting the container environment variable MIKTEXUID. I tried to set the BIBTEX command to "C:/Latex/MyLatex/bin/biber.exe" %.aux and then used the "Quick Build Wizard" to run PDFLATEX -> BIBTEX -> PDFLATEX. All commands inside the container are executed as user miktex and uid 1000. What I have done is to put the biber.exe file into the bin directory in my LaTeX tree which is located in C:/Latex/MyLatex. I think what needs to be fixed is one or both of the BIBTEX command and my QUICKBUILD command in the configuration. To launch yap from texmaker : 'C:/Program Files/MiKTeX 2.9/miktex/bin/yap.exe' -1 -s. Please do not simply tell me to read the manuals as I have spent most of the afternoon on them and the "working examples," rather than spending it on actually producing a paper. Will someone please help me to both configure Texmaker and use it so that I can use the backend=biber option with biblatex package.
